The power of education is in its utilisation. - V.A.
SEEDS Awareness Week @ UNZA.
Applications for participation now being accepted. Please contact Oliver Sepiso in Lusaka. An infomation night is being held at the New Education Lecture Theatre (NELT) at 19:30 on Tuesday, April 3rd.

SEEDS is an international student-driven organisation which seeks to create opportunities for students from around the world to come together in an effort to combine skills, abilities and knowledge in an attempt to create solutions for contemporary environmental and development problems.

For two weeks, students will come together to tackle some of the most pressing environmental and development issues facing Zambia today. Guided by an on-site co-ordinator from each country, these students will work together to examine, research and discuss questions of environmental and development importance. This project aims at allowing students from different countries to engage themselves within their field of study, while establishing lasting links with countries offering diverse cultures and environmental experiences.

Students in each participating country are also working on an endless number of projects, ROOTS, Book Drives, and 'Be The Change' - all designed to empower students to create change and discover possibilities.

SEEDS is just a beginning, for its structure looks to the future - at setting a precedent for future student projects, around the world, and around the year. SEEDS hopes to set an example for students and citizens that projects that are as selfless and exciting as this are indeed possible for those who aspire for such humanitarian action.

SEEDS is not just a project to study problems.

It's a project to provide answers.
